Alice Holt Adventure trail now available for disabled users Print E-mail

An interactive forest adventure trail, believed to be the first in the UK adapted for people with disabilities, has opened in the North of Hampshire.

The project at Alice Holt Forest is a joint effort between the Forestry Commission and the Treloar Trust, which provides specialist care and education for young people with disabilities. The trail is designed specifically for wheelchairs by having a hard surface and rails along the pathways. The trail surface has been improved, low rails have been installed in places to assist people with impaired sight and a special den 'skeleton' has been built to enable wheelchair users to build a den and enjoy going inside it.

Why not go along and try it out?
