Early Years Music Conference (9:30 AM - 3:30 PM)
Music Fusion, Hampshire Music Service and Portsmouth Music Service are working together to raise the profile of music for very young children across the region.
This conference is an opportunity for all those who value the importance of music for very young children to communicate with others and gain new ideas.

The conference fee is £30 per person and includes a copy of ‘The Guide to Music book and CD for 0-3 Years’ and buffet lunch.

Climate Week Event - Alton Market (10:00 AM - 2:00 PM)
March 12-18 is Climate Week, when LSP's , businesses, schools, and community organisations, councils and many others across the country will be organising around 3,000 events to promote environmental activities and awareness.
Have you ever thought of volunteering for an environment project?
There are many active groups in East Hampshire involved in all kinds of activities. These range from promoting greener lifestyles and energy saving through to countryside and wildlife conservation. So if you are interested in sustainability and would like to do your bit for the environment there are lots of local opportunities.
East Hampshire Environment Network (EHEN) will be out and about locally to inform people about the opportunities.
There are greening campaigns, community farming projects, energy saving campaigns, conservation groups and many others that are helping to make a difference here and now and are laying the foundations for a more sustainable future.
EHEN will also conduct a survey about local attitudes to climate and environmental issues.

Special Needs Information Day (10:00 AM - 3:00 PM)
Contact a Family and Hampshire Parent Partnership Service are holding a Special Needs Information Day on 24 March at The Petersfield School, Cranford Road, Petersfield GU32 3LU.
Visitors can come along any time between 10am and 3pm to browse the exhibits, and chat to representatives from voluntary organisations and statutory services about a wide range of special needs and related issues.
Alongside the exhibition, 11 workshops and information talks will be on offer, and visitors can prebook their free places. The topics of the workshops and talks include: Dyslexia, Speech language and communication, Boardmaker, information for parent support groups and carers, sensory processing difficulties, rhythmic movement training, good sleep strategies, lasting Powers of Attorney Wills and Trusts, understanding young people’s behaviour, plus Luke Dicker’s and Jan Greenman’s talk “Luke’s Life with Labels”.
There will be plenty of entertainment on offer for children accompanying their parents to the event. (Please note that parents must remain with their children while they are taking part in the children’s activities). There is plenty of free parking, and refreshments and food will be on sale. Limited childcare facilities are available.

Free Evening At INTECH For Families Of Children With Additional Needs (4:30 PM - 6:30 PM)
INTECH Science Centre is opening its doors free of charge to families for an exclusive preview of the new ‘Push the Limits’ science of sport interactive exhibition.
On 26 March once the public have left INTECH the exhibition will be open from 4:30pm to 6:30pm giving families the opportunity to try out 15 new exhibits as well as explore the old favourites in the rest of the exhibition.
The exhibition is suitable for all ages and abilities and it is great fun - challenge your friend to a battle of minds as you control the movement of a ball with just your thoughts, try out the wheelchair basketball challenge, can you make a spinning ball curve in the air and hit the target?
This is your chance to enjoy INTECH without the crowds. No need to book, just come along on the day.

Deaf Awareness Event (9:30 AM - 12:30 PM)
A new initiative to encourage more voluntary organisations to take up Deaf Awareness is now available in Hampshire.
Signs4Life have set up an introductory workshop in Deaf Awareness to help staff to communicate and engage with their deaf & hard of hearing colleagues, service users, students, patients and clients in Winchester.
The Deaf Awareness event will be taking place on 29 March at Winchester Guild Hall, Broadway, High Street, Winchester (SO23 9GH) from 9:30am-12:30pm.
This local initiative is to help identify barriers that deaf people face and explore their culture and community but also to encourage inclusion of all people with sensory, physical or learning disabilities in Winchester.
