Are You Over 60? Is Your Voice Being Heard? People over the age of 60 in East Hampshire are being encouraged to speak up with the creation of a new Older People’s Forum. Led by local charity Community First four community meetings are being held around East Hampshire to bring together older people with a view to establishing a district wide forum. The aim of the forum is to speak on behalf of the over 60s about issues, which affect their quality of life, health and wellbeing. Through this form of consultation areas of concern or unmet needs can be brought to the attention of statutory authorities and the general public for action. Community First is hosting four meetings around the district at which it is hoped an Older Persons Forum for East Hampshire will be created. The meetings are being held on: March 17th 10am -12pm: The Community Centre, Petersfield March 18th 10am -12pm: Forest Community Centre, Bordon March 23rd 10am-12pm: Jubilee Hall, Catherington March 26th 10am-12pm: Alton Maltings Centre, Alton Everyone who is over 60 is welcome to attend and help with transport is available.
