Information from Trading Standards Print E-mail

Information from Trading Standards. They operate a series of electric blanket safety checks throughout Hampshire.

This is a free service and residents are encouraged to make an appointment and bring their blanket to a central location for testing.  Like all electrical equipment, electric blankets have a limited life and have faults which are not always obvious.  In 2009 we failed 60% of blankets brought in.
A voucher giving a discount on a replacement blanket is available for all failures.
Venues covered this year are:  Gosport, Eastleigh, New Milton, Andover, Basingstoke, Petersfield, Fareham, Havant, Lymington, Romsey, Alton, Fleet, Winchester, Waterlooville, Hythe, Totton, Portchester, Bordon and Farnborough.
Telephone number for appointments or advice:  01962 833 358.
